Magpies of Melbourne is an original 100 x 100cm acrylic on canvas by Australian artist Helen Ansell.
Created originally for display at The Big Design Market, this piece is filled with some of Helen’s favourite Australian natives. Bold black and white magpies sit amongst banksias, wattle, gum blossoms and flowering natives against a rich blue sky. Rich layers of colour and detail give the artwork a vibrant, contemporary feel while still celebrating the beauty of the Australian landscape.
