Australian Barn Owl (Tyto alba) Original painting, acrylic on canvas, 50 x 50cm.
The Barn Owl is found right across world but the species Tyto alba delicatula is found in Australia. They are fairly common birds but hard to see as they usually come out at night. They are the most widespread out of all the owls, a medium sized bird with a lovely heart shaped face.
I have painted this beauty amongst the iconic Banksia Trees and under our brilliant Australian night sky!
