Floralia was a collaboration between Helen Ansell and Perth based fashion designer Karen Elizabeth Young. This original hand painted artwork (acrylic on canvas) was later translated onto hand-painted silk. The fabric was used for a special gown that celebrated Western Australia’s unique flora and fauna.
This Helen Ansell Native Australian Bird and Flower Painting features a range of flowers including Kangaroo Paw, Scarlet Banksia, Wattle and Grevillea
The Floralia gown was proudly displayed during this year’s wildflower festival at Aspects Gallery of Kings Park
