Description
Jesus told a story about a farmer sowing seed, which here is translated into the habitat of wildflowers growing. He was commenting that his message of life and hope was in many instances suffering rejection; just as these native flowers can’t thrive out on a road, in rocky ground, or amongst weeds. As a result, for many, Paradise was Being Lost.
And this painting makes a secondary point; native wildflowers are being choked out by such weeds as Wild Oats, Cape Weed, and even by a feral form of the garden flower Statice. Again Paradise is Being Lost.
Something has to be done to Heal Country and Humanity.
