For this piece I have chosen to feature local flora (as well as a Willy Wag Tail and Echidna) many of which can be found on the road between Geraldton and Mullewa including Wattle, Gumtrees, Fringe Lilies, Banksias, Spider Orchids, Flame Grevillea, Yellow Kangaroo Paw, Geraldton Wax, Everlastings, Pincushion Hakea, Rose of the West, Bottlebrush and Native Hibiscus.
I wanted this artwork to not only portray a piece of the Mullewa bush but to also encourage locals and tourists alike to make the road trip here to explore the natural beauty of our surroundings.
