This is a perennial, deciduous, herb with an underground tuber and a single hairy leaf, 80-120mm (3-5in) long and 8-12mm (0.3 – 0.5in) wide. Each plant has up to 4 flowers. It occurs in the Jarrah forests and coastal plain between Bunbury and Cliff Head near Dongara in Western Australia, where it grows in woodland and heath in sand over limestone. Flowering occurs from September to October.
